
Megan Carter – Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz & Lyrical
Megan Carter was raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia where she began her formal dance training at the age of 3. She grew up training in Bucks County at Ballet Arts of Bucks County and at Dance Arts Collaborative, and she continued her training in The Ailey School/Fordham University BFA Program. During her time at The Ailey School and Fordham, Megan has performed works by Rebecca Margolick, Hollie Wright, Maleek Washington, Adrienne Hurd, Roderick George, Earl Mosley, and Rena Butler. Outside of the BFA program, Megan has had the honor to perform works by Tracie Stanfield and Lauren Pagano, as well as perform in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade with the Sharpe Family Singers. She has also participated in summer intensives with notable dance companies such as Parsons Dance, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and SynthesisDANCE. Megan is a 2024 graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and in Digital Technology and Emerging Media.
Professionally, Megan has been a company member with Project Moshen Dance Company in Philadelphia, PA, an Ensemble Dancer in Six Flags Great Adventure’s Dead Man’s Party, and the Dance Captain in Town and Country Players’ production of “Nine”. Megan is represented by YOU Talent Agency in New York City. She has also had the opportunity to present her own choreography in New York City at The Ailey School and JCE Jazz Dance Project at Peridance Capezio Dance Center. She has also choreographed in local middle school productions of “The Little Mermaid” and “Annie”, and, most recently at Town and Country Players’ in their production of “Titanic.”
Outside of teaching and dance, Megan is a fitness instructor at Pure Barre and F45 and works as on the social media and tour team for True Talent Competition. You may even catch her on the road during competition season! In her free time, Megan loves spending time with family and friends, running, taking dance classes in NYC, and finding new coffee shops and restaurants to try.
