Harmony in Motion: A Doylestown Winter Dance Workshop That Warms Hearts for a Cause

Winter is the season of joy, warmth, and giving back, and this year, Impact Dance Complex in Doylestown brought the community together for a special winter dance workshop that not only celebrated the art of dance but also benefited the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. During a day full of dance classes and an annual Toy Drive (organized by Jocelyn Mastro & Tony Azzaro), the magic of dance met the spirit of charity.

The winter dance workshop, held in December of 2023, was a celebration of movement, expression, and community engagement. From beginners to seasoned dancers, participants of all levels joined together for a day filled with dance styles ranging from hip-hop to contemporary to jazz, creating an atmosphere of unity and shared passion for the art. Some incredible guest teachers made appearances, including Sammy Reyes (Muhlenberg & Lehigh), Ryan Bonner (Creative Reaction & Sanbrooka Productions), Jocelyn Mastro (Disney & Apple TV), Tony Azzaro and others. The workshop was filled with enchanting moments, as participants learned new choreography, perfected their technique, and embraced the joy of movement.

The highlight of the workshop was the commitment to supporting the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. This incredible organization provides a home away from home for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment at local hospitals. By dedicating our workshop to this cause, we aimed to spread joy through dance while contributing to the well-being of those in need. All attendees made donations and brought new toys for the holiday season. Thanks to the generosity of our participants and the community, we were able to make a significant contribution to the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. The funds raised during the workshop will go directly towards supporting families in need, and all of the toys will ensure brighten the day of a child in need.
